Viibryd is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to vilazodone or any of its components. It should not be used with MAO inhibitors or within 14 days of stopping them. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding requires medical consultation. It is not approved for use in children.
Common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, and insomnia. Some patients may experience headache or dry mouth. Most side effects are mild to moderate and decrease over time. Seek medical attention if severe or unusual symptoms occur.

Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, confusion, or rapid heartbeat. Seek immediate medical attention if an overdose is suspected. Do not exceed the prescribed dose. Supportive medical care may be required.
